Just wondering how everyone's getting/got to their formal this year.

How much would a limo for the night be? Are they overated? I haven't done the limo thing before and kind of think it is.

Going in a limo is like a "must do".

You have to go to one of your formals in a limo.

Yea, that's what I kind of think, but it's not like the limo gets to pull up in front of the venue or anything, so my friends aren't really for the idea.

Just curious but where's your formal going to be? And what do you mean by the limo not pulling up right outside the venue? :p

Limos are not that exciting. It depends on the type of person you are. I'd prefer to go in a nice car with my boyfriend but you may prefer to go with a group of friends in a limo.

It's at L'Aqua. I haven't seen the place, so I'm not really sure what my friend meant by that, so I'm just going on her word.

L'Aqua is where we had our formals at. It's at the east side of darling harbour, top floor.

They searched everyone for any foreign materials & drugs.

There is no roads that goes to the front of the building so it doesn't really matter what transport you took because no one will see it.

We went in a limo (had our formal on thursday) and it was really hard to get out of! I was practically crawling out of it, while trying not to rip my dress.
Most people just hired flashy cars, someone got pushed in in a wheelbarrow, but the best entrance award went to two guys, who had themselves fed-exed to our year advisor and jumped out of a box in the entrance.

Limos are over-rated. Personally driving your date to the formal is much more appropriate. There are some cheap rentals at:

http://www.luxurycarhire.com.au/getaquote.htm

I'd recommend the Porsche Boxter or the BMW 330Ci

If you're under 25, you'll need to pay a $2500, deposit..ripoff... thats why you'll have to get one of your peeps to apply for you. If you don't have a license yet, well...too bad I guess.
