i think geo has the easiest multiple choice out of all subjects. cos anyone can do it... the skills are so easy a year 9 could do it and the content questions are pretty much general knowledge

Anyone know how long each section of the English exams are going to be?

Short answers = ?
Creative = ?
AOS = ?
MOD A = ?
MOB B = ?
MOD C = ?
Each paper is 2 hrs, with 40 mins recommended per section.

However obviously if you finish your short answers and creative earlier you can spend more time on the essay.

How do you guys study for short answers?
Theoretically, practicing. But assuming that your trials start tomorrow, that wouldn't help much now. Just know your aspects of belonging, and don't forget about time in the midst of all of that. Done.

Yes it would. There's over 20 hours left till the exam. Of course he can practice short answers...

15 marks for the short answer = 2 2/3 minutes per mark.

Try and get the first two quickly done and out of the way so you can get on with your longer ones.

Try and reserve about 12-15 minutes for the 5 marker, and about 6,7 minutes for each of the 3 markers.

It's difficult.

I hate writing so small, it feels like I've written next to nothing on my page and I feel the urge to write more, but it stuffs up my time :(

Hey guys, my belonging intro is 150 words, is that way too long?

I can write my essay legibly in 38 minutes (1100 words) but my intro looks really big, and my writing is big too.

I can hit 950 in 40 minutes

I write about 2 lines per minute

roughly 13-15 words per line

Hypothetically if I was going 30 words per minute I would be at 1200 but I need to sacrifice some pace for thinking straight.

My intros usually aren't very long.

I'm at about 75-90 words for an intro.

Yeah, I think I should shorten mine to about 110ish.

I remember in the HY, I got slammed for having an intro that went halfway through the page. It wasn't that many words, but my writing is quite big that it appears more than it is. Sigh.

So is 1000 words the optimum amount for an Adv English essay?

Also for AOS, what section do you start with?
I know some people start with essay and move backwards.
