Petroleum engineering also involves gas extraction so it will still be a very viable career path in the long-term.ohh yeah, i dont know i just wanna do it, i wanna do it since yr 10 hahaha
wanna work on the middle of the ocean, digging the crud oil, and it's really cool job in my home country (thailand)
like each year only 15 people can get to petroleum engineering in thailand
but . .. when all the oil run out = i'm screwed XD
yay, thank for more info.Petroleum engineering also involves gas extraction so it will still be a very viable career path in the long-term.

Might see you next year at law in MacqThese are my preferences. Wish I could do Economics/Law at USYD or UNSW, but I have no hope of getting an ATAR that high
1. Business/Laws @ UTS
2. Social Science/Laws @ MQ
3. Commerce/Laws @ MQ
4. Economics/Arts @ UNSW
5. Commerce/Arts @ USYD
6. Economics @ USYD
7. Political, Economic and Social Sciences @ USYD
8. Economics @ MQ
9. Arts/Commerce @ MQ
Thanks!
For us..next yearwhen does it close? opening round of offers???
The 'closer' argument for me is valid...what are these people doing Advanced Maths/Arts at the wrong uni
The 'closer' argument for me is valid...
What are the pros and cons of Usyd vs UNSW? (they are the two closest ones for me..) SWAY ME SHADOWDUDE!

(I have a few friends doing it)How hard is psychology at USYD?
all physics majors swap to engineering sooner or later, why not just give in now?!My ideas of what I want to do change every couple of weeks, so I'll probably be editing my preferences a lot
Currently I'm looking at doing Arts/Science (Advanced or Advanced Mathematics) at USYD, most likely majoring in Philosophy, Physics and/or Mathematics.
Sydney uni have better Maths and arts departments.what are these people doing Advanced Maths/Arts at the wrong uni
The walk from redfern to carslaw (Maths/science building) is on google maps as 16 minutes, but it's actually ~10.But you live in Castle Hill... I don't understand this 'USyd is closer' argument
It's like... train to Redfern then walk for 20 minutes, or train to Central and take a bus to uni (which takes about 20 minutes)
I usually get to redfern at 8:55 or 9 for my 9am classes and still get there on time. Not really... the worst I've had was perhaps half an hour. But there was lots of roadwork on High St then.
Usually around 20 minutes. So if I have a 10am class, I aim to get to Central at 9:40 so I get to class on time.
You'll find most times it's around 20 minutes... on average.
Ask your principal for the AAA scholarship now. These are my preferences. Wish I could do Economics/Law at USYD or UNSW, but I have no hope of getting an ATAR that high
It pretty competitive because everyone wants to do honours but as long as you try hard you should be fine. How hard is psychology at USYD?
The UNSW Arts faculty is no competitor for USyd's from what I've heard. The 'closer' argument for me is valid...

Nah, I'm looking at pursuing a career in astronomy, so a physics major should be good for that. I had considered doing aerospace engineering at USYD for a little bit, and while it certainly sounds interesting I don't think it would be much benefit, especially in an Australian context.all physics majors swap to engineering sooner or later, why not just give in now?!
