so are band 1 marks still scaled normally?

The program picks the best 2 english units:

eg
Eng adv scaled mark 90
Eng ext1 scaled mark 80
Eng ext2 scaled mark 95

it would pick 1 unit of ext2 and 1unit of english adv to count to the 2 units of english.
This remaining units may still be included in aggregate, depending on what you scored in the other courses.

I wished I knew how to program well.

Then I would definitely have done a UAI estimator for my SDD project.

My SDD Major Project was stolen, editted, and documented :)

Stolen as in not someone else's project, but took an existing game.

Excellent, as it should be. :)

It should be? But then again, I wouldn't think it should... not for Band 1 marks.

ok, this is what i did;

I put in all marks, achieving a uai of 96 or whatever

Where i had 2u mathematics, i swapped it with general maths

Not one value changed - the mark and scaling for general maths was the same value as it was for 2u maths.. aggregate and uai also stayed exactly the same

???

This version is accurate for UAIs >60 and marks >25% of state.
For values outside this limit the prediction is dodgy.

However, you must remember this IS an alpha version.
You can't expect it to be working 100% juggernaut. (Have you tried downloading the updated JUAIseeker)? Maybe there is insufficient data for General Mathematics, I don't know. :)

tell me the marks you inputed.
or post a screen shot

you may have have done 12+ units and your maths marks were too low to count towards UAI

currently, UAIseeker2003 is more accurate, so i encourage you to purchace it if you want a really accurate prediction.

EDIT: the 791.0 UAI means 80.00 UAI, i have fixed the bug.

But it's "good enough" which is much more than adequate. Good programme, I'm using it in the reverse manner of everyone else, I'm trying to find out how lazy I can be to get my needed UAI :p

Yep, even on the fastest system it takes a few minutes to complete, just let it do it's job and you'll know when it's done. :)

The offline installation package, downloadable here:

http://java.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=8939

Is 14.3MB, yes.

Go to this page: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

And download the first one, (or use the above link that I had provided), it's only 1.35MB for the standard installation (I don't think it's web-based, but I suppose it's an "online" installation). :)

As jm has said, it's not as accurate as UAIseeker 2003, as it is a work in progress/alpha.

But it is among the most accurate, in my opinion. Give it a try and play around with it, manipulate the applet and enter marks, watch the numbers change, spend about 5 minutes to see how it works. :)
