i was just wondering how many people get over 99 each year? i worked it out to be 400 but a friend said something about SC dropkicks and that it is 1000?


any suggestions?

I think about 60000 student sit the HSC each year. Not all of them apply for a UAI, though. The UAI is calculated assuming that the whole year 10 cohort finishes the HSC, so they are still there in some phantom statistical sense.

hm, for about ~40 people in each .05 bracket, i'd say perhaps 800 or so

For the past four years it's been the top 1.6% of HSC students which has ranged between 1000 and 1100 students.

No girls...

It's not strictly 1000 btw. As James (Lazarus) has mentioned, it's usually 1.6% of the entire HSC student body that gets 99+ UAI. Since the number changes all the time depending on the year, it can even be like 900 people to just 1000 people...

true, its far easier to tell by what school u go to and what ranks ur getting
Kind of a different question, but how many students generally get 99+ from James Ruse and other Top 5/10 ranked schools?

half of ruse 08 got 99.45(+)
so i'd say about 100 or so (167 in the grade) got 99+? not sure, just guessing
