i'm definitely doing one of the workshops [medentry, AMEPP.. not sure yet- have to ask around!!], the only thing im concerned about is the price... so a group discount would be MARVELLOUS. enrolment isn't till august, right??

medentry seems like the best prep workshop after asking around to many people. when they start enrolling we can just get in contact and get a group discount coz its about $200 less.

$200! I'm only doing UMAT for fun, so I don't think I'll be joining you. But I might consider purchasing some past paper exams :p

No Medicine course for me. Too much responsibility and I cannot hold that burden. I will basically end up killing myself before my patient dies...

By the way, how hard is the UMAT exam? I thought you cannot actually prepare for it...

Well... i think u can actually just get used to the questions through past exam papers. I got mine already :D. it's just that i understand the format and style of the questions.
yeah, the last section is kinda airy-fairy with all those pattern puzzles.... kicking the logic into action i guess, & i think that would be incredibly hard to study for especially if one lacked skill in that area. as for the other questions, i think you just have to think like a doctor. ie recommended study: grey's anatomy, scrubs, ER, house, medical emergency, RPA, all saints et al.

Got that covered.:D

Scrubs doesn't really help that much you learn pretty random stuff if you watch the show as much as I do like a symptom for acute intermitten porphoria is purple pee or that you can't treat a bunch of symptoms you have to get the diagnosis (which is a lot like problem solving).

I'm just going to turn upto UMAT with no previous knowledge of it.
And see where my natural intellect takes me. (most likely a fail).

You won't get anywhere with that kind of negative attitude towards yourself ;).

i don't want to do medicine but i just want to compare myself with others.
So the UMAT is more comfortable for me since there is no pressure on me.

Fair enough :). Don't practice, achieve high percentiles and surprise yourself :D. You'll feel much more superior with your intelligence if you do score high.

I reckon I might get a good result in UMAT becuase I watch so much Scrubs but my UAI will surely kill my chances of getting into Medicine.

you can get them from ACER. type it into google.
I haven't seen the UMAT test papers. but i heard they are more like IQ tests. I think you also have to analyse graphs and use your logic.
