I am doing an essay on the past HSC question

"Understanding Nourishes Belonging....
a lack of understanding prevents it."

I am doing immigrant chronicle by peter skrzynecki for my prescribed text.
Also i am finding it difficult to find 2 related texts for my essay.

Does any body know any related texts to the HSC question?

Also I am doing 'ancestors' and 'Post card' as my prescribed text.

does any body how these poems fits into the question?

You wouldnt be getting related texts "for the HSC question". You would be getting related texts for belonging for your prescribed texts.
And if you find trouble talking about those two poems, I suggest you try other poems, although those poems would also be good for the question.
Both poems, essentially, look at him trying to understand, and make sense of things, in order to belong.

You don't do two related texts on the past HSC question.

The best thing to do is to not even attempt a past question until you have sorted out your related text's.

Look at your prescribed text and identify the ideas about belonging it represents.
Then think about or look for other text's with similar idea's relevant to this.

Then you will have texts that adapt to every question instead of one that you will never get again! :fish:

Anything about an outsider would suit this question easily. Give it a go trying to find a text that fits this discription. There's thousands of them out there.
