1 - for good home grown music get down 2 catch the bandcomp heats
2 - support the good bands (especially lost in line)
3 - catch sarah mcleod gig, last time i saw her, she started crowd surfing whilst on crutches
4 - get 2 end of session party and celebrate me and murf's 19ths :)

Anyone go to the Grates? The support band, The Panda Band were awesome!
Or any of the Band Comp heats?

I skipped End of Fashion, seen them before and not a big enough fan to bother going again.

I was there Wednesday too and the winning band were awesome. I forget their name though.

That's the one, I'm such an idiot, my mate's friends with them and I've met them before so I should remember. Oh, well, I know it now.

Uhm, I'm trying to remember, LOL, I just remembering loving them at the time.
I think there were a couple of guitarists, a singer, a drummer and a bassist. I forget exactly. I just remember absolutely loving the bass lines, something I never usually notice, but theirs were awesome.

i went to the grates. i thought they were fantastic.
the panda band were ok....... i couldnt really hear the lead singer much and i knew of them before the gig.
from what i heard of i heart hiroshima... meh

whilst i know that my signature suggests i should be supporting our wonderful local music scene.....there is a far better gig on this day which i will be attending, the likes of bagster, unpaid debt, the disables, after the fall, gyroscope, strung out, the butterfly effect, grand fatal, um....the hot lies....um...i cant be fucked naming the rest of em...

but yeah....



also, this weekend, yallah woolshed (or 'roadhouse music' for you commercialised wankers...) catch lost in line with christolite, kempsey and afterwake, $10 scores ya entry, a free cd and a kiss from dawso*

avocado aye...we all understand that type of music tom...

but anyway, theyre new stuff is pretty damn good actually, bit harder than the last EP, sounds more like their really old stuff of their original demo....

oh and in other news i was at the birth of the newest wollongong band the other week... a friend of mine and my girlfriend have formed a band from the ruins of their last bands

from early stages they sound like a mix between nightwish, bleeding through and nelly furtado

awesome

no offence tom, but the track you gave me of the forrs is seriously something out of riverdance. when i listen to it i feel like there should be leprechauns frolicking around my loungeroom.
no discredit to amy and her band.. alisha / alicia? has some mad violin talent.
but seriously.
fiddle-de-dee-potatoes the leprechauns are dancing :rolleyes:
thats just the style of the music
