Well it's easier to go to uni events if that's what you mean, yes. But I'd still go if I didn't live on campus? Most society events are around uni, and if one is on just hang around uni until the event.

I've been to a few. But not many. I could spend the time studying you know.

Most of the time if it won't clash with my schedule I rock up

I try to go to as many as possible - you get to meet people and talk to interesting people

SD is a dinosaur, been at uni for 33292993 years. Mathsoc didnt exist back then.

also for completeness: no it wasn't me


but i was a founding member and after three years in the executive, i now enjoy my retirement package which includes me being able to push in the line at all mathsoc events and thus never, ever having to line up for a sausage sandwich or whatever free food the society offers
