Has anyone got one yet? UNSW said early this week they'd start sending out notifications, so we might know as soon as tomorrow...

Don't worry. UNSW tends to space out interview offers over a few days, so don't start worrying yet.

A couple of people from MSO have.

I havent heard from them yet either.

So since they spread if out over several days, what determines when you get one? Is it random or alphabetical or the people with the highest scores get one first or what?

Hmm, only two interstaters have gotten offers so far, on MSO. On Med-entry people are saying that they released interstate offers first.

My predicted ENTER/UAI was only 94-97, comaperd to the 98 listed for UWS

sorry guys but whats MSO, and do u get offers by email or by phone?, also, if say u got estimates of 99 as a uai but do aiite in umat say 170-200 are u likely to be offered an interview this time of the year? or do u have to get over 200?

Why don't you people know answers to such questions? Come on people get with it! Mediicne isn't for the curious, it's for the serious.

Actually that's quite an interesting question. A friend was offered an interview and his umat was 185, uai was 97 and GPA was 6 something... interesting

I could be wrong in regards to numbers.

yeah it changes yr by yr. ... cos its based on the top XYZ ppl that apply.. say if there is top 200.. but the standards are high.. ure kinda stuffed ..
lucky it doesnt vary by much..

yes yes.. we all know it gets frustrating answering the same questions over and over.. i sympathise with u.. but compassion is also a necessity in medicine.. and realising that.. helps u when ure the teacher in medicine..

i already knew that..but i wasnt sure if it was for actual uai or predicted uai, btw i had a freind who had a umat of 189 and uai of something like 98 predicted, but wasnt given a september interview, so just asking.

It just dawned on me how competitive it must be for you guys on the mainland... there are only 196 spots for med at UNSW (discounting fee paying places)... and there are so many of you. That's pretty crazy. The moral of this story is that you should all come live in Tasmania

I received an offer at 3:02 PM today

They advised me i was over the september cut-off, but they plan to interview rural interstate applicants in late january
