Hey I have an essay and need to use all those "experiential" ideas, etc. which is fine, but I'm slightly stumped on this question - " [FONT=&quot]Australian Drama explores not only what we value but what we fear" - [/FONT][FONT=&quot]any ideas as to what I could say in regard to the Removalists?

Well, The Removalists deals pretty heavily with the things we fear: Domestic Violence, Police Brutality, Authoritive Corruption.

Therefore, you look at the thematics of the play, and then explain how you found these themes. You base this on both textual analysis, and theatrical staging and experimental work.

Examples:
"like a frenzied exorcism" - the fighting
The swearing in the language
The sleazy photographing
The offering of prostitutes
The removalist as an everyman
The slow removal of furniture, to symbolise their decaying world and values
The behaviour of Kenny to his wife
