Its a teeny-bopper R&B/hip-hop/dance mix so it was always going to be popular. Those who dont like R&B but are teeny-boppers will like the song because it is catchy.

But nevertheless it is not that bad as you all say, its quite bearable, even good, at parties so dont dogg it too much!
