Yeah, excellent movie. Not at good as Sofia Coppola's later Lost in Translation, but still a fantastic film. Great music too.

God.. I hated Lost in Translation. I expected a lot from it because of my love for VS... but I was disappointed. Very disappointed.

I've read the book but haven't seen the movie. :p The book is awesome - it's Jeffrey Eugenides, can't expect any less.

No way, i'd rate Lost in Translation as one of the best films of recent years. It's a personal favourite. Can't wait for more Sofia Coppola. She can't seem to do any wrong!

I've read 'Middlesex' by Jeffrey Eugenides, which was quite good. I'd be interested in reading The Virgin Suicides, but i'm not jumping up and down about it. I loved the movie for its cinematic qualities, rather than the actual story.

I liked The Virgin Suicides too, but Lost in Translation was a huge step up from it. I don't know about Marie-Antoinette (S.Coppola's next film) though. I can't picture Kirsten Dunst in the Marie-Antoinette role at all.

I just read the first five or so pages on the Amazon preview page, and it sounds very good. I might have to pick it up next time i'm in town.

Sofia Coppola is one of the most talented directors of our time. Her movies are effortlessly beautiful - so so talented.

As much as I like Singles (your Avatar is from Singles isn't it?), you should probably refrain from triple posting.

Damnit. I thought the girl on the left was Bridget Fonda. But yeah now that you mention it, it is obviously The Breakfast Club.

My bad - the computer was stuffing up and I wasn't aware I double posted. And yeah, it's from The Breakfast Club.

Breakfast Club was a heaps good movie!

But yeah, virgin suicides was a sad movie. The way they were kept inder lock and key at the end really pissed me off. And the one part of the movie that really pissed me was when they left the girl in the middle of the field. So Lame!

The movie was pretty good and I think more people should see it.
