Weird thing happened at the bus stop... advice needed (1 Viewer)

A weird thing happened at the bus stop tonight.... I was waiting at the bus stop to come home from Mardi Gras (which rocked btw) and then this guy came up and asked me for the time.... so I showed him my watch.... then he started chatting to me, saying that he thought I was pretty, and then he said he would like to meet for coffee or something and asked for my number.... I was kinda shocked and gave it to him.....

This is the first time I seriously ever have been chatted up by someone who was sober and seemed relatively normal.... but there was something so smooth about the way he got my phone number it almost seemed strange.... but then I'm not sure if it's just me being overly suspicious or whether it is my self conciousness telling myself that I am not good enough to be "picked up".... also he seemed a fair bit older than me, probably about 5 or 6 years.....

If he calls I guess I will go for coffee and find out more about him.... intelligent conversation and someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously is the main things I find attractive so I guess we will see what his personality is like.

But do you think this is a bit odd? Or is it just because I have never had this happen before? Am I over analyzing this? (Actually, I can answer this myself..... yes I probably am)

You could possibly be over analysing it. If you go for coffee just make sure it is a place you know, particulary how to leave quickly.

Just go with the flow. He could possibly be gay and looking for a friend (it was mardi gras' after all I agree it did rock )

He seemed quite nice and friendly.... and he was nice looking.... not drop dead gorgeous but nice.... personality is my biggest attraction though.

And he didn't seem gay lol because that was one of the things that crossed my mind too being mardi gras and all, he seemed very straight.

It was like less than 5 mins because my bus came and I had to go. I am probably overanalyzing.... I wonder if he will call? I didn't get his number (he offered it) because my phone was flat and had turned off.......

Yeh true u should have seen the dodginess in Kings Cross and outside Town Hall people openly selling drugs. The Mardi Gras itself was a blast, though. Except for Cher who looked like shit...

Wow..I didn't even know the Mardi Gras was tonight. Anyway, I think you should give this guy a chance if you think he seems nice enough. Just don't give tell him where you live just in case hes a psychotic stalker or something.

Id say go for it but be careful. Some guys are just really nice and random like that, but I wouldnt totally write him off from being a tad on the psycho side either.
