do they have combined law degrees at harvard or do they just have straight out single law degrees?

I am quite sure it would have both. It is one of the biggest and best University's in America:).

So my impression now is that double degrees are only for those who intend to be flexible, or wants a profession that stands a line between two fields(like the legal consultant for a company given as an example). If you totally want to dedicate to one field, the other is degree is useless right?
Not every degree needs to have a career attached to it... I, along with many others, decided to take a double degree for the simple reason that I would enjoy the topics on offer from the second degree. The generic skills mentioned by Lexicographer are also valuable, too.

PS. Just out of interest, how much is the fees for a Harvard law degree?

sounds to me arts is for the literarily skilled. must be a lot of essay work, research and public speaking

yups... dats only for ur education... u also gotta have money for living expenses... rent food books toiltries etc... lol... n america's not cheap...

Americas system is basically student pays all, financial aid is pretty easy to get but it is still very expensive thats why most parents start a college fund from a very young age. 3 year post-graduate course

i doubt you can pay for that with casual work in America...plus where does the study time come? i guess we those not so rich people will only have to continue dreaming

You wont pay for the course with casual work, you go into massive debt for your first degree. Harvard Law is a post graduate meaning you should have money from a carrer anyway.

Harvard does, but their Law and Medicine degrees are post graduate.
