Haha that's the point my cousins raised when they came for a tour here- one cannot ever truly make use of their car's potential in normal (legal) driving. They were so surprised that CC is in abundance here and that 'anybody' can go out and buy a V8 car with heaps of kW- whereas in M'sia road tax is dependent on the size of your engine (eg. our V12 costs over $20k per year just to keep it rego'd), and speeding penalties can be bribed away (although depending on the car you drive- the cops accept different amounts; talk about price discrimination!).

I don't think you should even bother driving Civic to your uni since petrol and parking is a shocker.

I drive my car to uni everyday (10kms each way).. so far no problems.. but my friend isn't as lucky.. he drives a prelude and someone went too far forwards and jammed up his rear, now his rear bumper is a tad lopsided.. I think someone doorjammed him once.. and elsewhere, someone put something on his rear (supposedly a bag), then dragged it across his boot lid........... now he has what resembles skid marks on his boot lid.......

i think the Type S is still much heavier than the original Type which is why it needs the extra kws to make up for it.

Also with the new type S they dont have that huge wing. The problem with that wing is going at high speeds it puts downforce on the car slowing it down.

Hah.. I'm yet to turn 18.. and I'm in first year uni.. so I guess I was generalising your situation in respect to mine.. I could of made the cut-off, but my mum thought I was too incompetent to pass.. but later on she realised how dangerous having L plates is (as in, other people treat you like shit), so I got my Ps before my HSC =.= Lame. Now I can't legally drive those on the prohibited list....... not like I'd get a chance to anyway =]

A Valiant charger? Geez... extractors need to be imported from the US, or custom. Custom can run you up $1k-$3k for a nice ceramic coated header. A 3 inch exhaust will cost you several hundred (with mufflers and everything).

i drive a black manual BMW E46 coupe.. 2001 model so not the facelift ugly one haha. its on loan from my parents so dont yell at me please i still owe the money but at least theres no interest hey (i hope not anyway haha).
