i heard today of a school that got rid of the bell to make everyone more relaxed and less stressed. the principle figured all students would get up and go to classes on time. like that'd work...
Actually, it does. We have a bell for the beginning of roll call, one at the end of recess, one at the second half of lunch, one at the end of lunch and one at the end of the day. It's a very, very rare occurence for us to not turn up to classes (including after frees), and it's really good if you're doing an exam or something. The odds of being distracted by a bell going off aren't high. Although, we do quite often convince teachers to let us out early before recess and lunch (we have a different table on tuesday and thursday to the rest of the week, so we just convince them they're on the wrong times).

I think everyone besides year 11 and 12 should be sent on excursions for a week during half yearlies (they used to do this, but changed it...god only knows why, because private schools don't usually worry about expense). And quit giving us the same study skills workshops over and over, and teach us about managing stress etc, which most of us would find so much more useful. I don't care what they say, you still get stressed if you study effectively.

4. Guys with batons in class's and library so I never procrastinate
I'd probably won't get much work done, due to the fact that I'd probably be constantly turning around and looking nervously at their batons.

We've been getting them since year 10. I think they're just a TEENY bit overdone now.

person i was talking to from your school thought it was a laughing stock. oh well, guess it works for some. Wouldn't work for me, i already turn up 5-7mins late for everything despite always hearing the bell.
Might not have been my actual school. I think there's some other places around that do it.

all we need is for year 7's and 8's to not sprint to the bus stop every day after school.

I agree with what everyone else has said. At my school, it's P-4 at one campus, and 5-12 at mine. So we have to put up with little Year 5 shits as well as arrogant Year 7's who think they're top shit. Seriously, Year 5's push into the canteen line in front of seniors and we just deathstare them then push them out of the line. They get yelled at, not us, since the teachers know us better. =]

I think that year 12 should:
-get free photocopying and printing not 10c a page
- have a specified room for study
-be exempt from school events e.g. special assemblies they take up too much class time

we have a 'seniors first' rule
nobody gets on the bus til all the seniors (and juniors) are on :D

this is a most excellent rule. there are no losers, because juniors will eventually evolve into seniors!

oh man, i wish we had this rule. im sick of wading through year 7s on the epping and parramatta buses

edit: (i feel real gangster in that post)
Lol. How much petrol money are you planning on paying me?

However, I would like it if my school created a students car park. There are few spaces close enough on the roads, and few in the car parks around the school. However, there are no obvious available areas fofr a car park. Meh.

Get the up quickly. Driving to school is pretty good, I get an extra half hours sleep, no bus, get home quicker, place to put heavy stuff in (like textbooks). It is a win.

having people who actually work in my drama class.

i might be somewhat happier about my group play.

also - someone telling the year 11 shits that they arent equal to us.

And Year 5's at my school, for that matter.

I hate it when they all congregate in the middle of the stairs and won't fucking move! Then they get pissed at you when you tell them to get out of the fucking way and not stop where people are trying to get through!

Man, I could go on for days about this stuff.
