Just ... normal crap. Y'know, like a pen and some paper. You probably won't be diving headlong into work, so you'll need the basics.

they give u the lecture notes in the lecture
as well as the subject outline, that gets given too

pretty much what he said. If your lecturer is nice or engaging, he would tell the entire lecture hall to turn around and say hi to each other coz he doens't want people to be loners while at uni

usually the first lectures are just the introduction of the course....by that i mean they give you a course outline, and run through all the assessments and academic guidelines

usually the first week is a bludge

nope, and you'll find the textbooks will serve as little more than a paper-weight in lectures, anyway. Too much to cover in the lecture-slides without having to worry about cracking open that 400 page sleeping pill.

save it for the tutorials, IF required.First week no tuts so your safe. Some subjects only require textbooks for homework, so wont be required to bring it to uni at all, but that's only some so you'll find out later.
