Well, that's what I do during English - some religion teachers told us to do that which is pretty useful. I used my fingernail (barely existing one) to scratch some answers on MC.

And yeah, why wouldn't you be allowed? You can basically do anything in that time - just not writing.

I remember during my eco exam, a person got told off for using a calculator xD

Hmm. Why bother scratching the answer onto the paper? Personally I try and use the time to formulate answers to the long response - and then remember in my head, "Ok, question 1 was A...2 was C" etc. etc. I just think scratching the answer is a little waste of time? =/

wat about putting some ink on a finger before the exam and marking it with that lol
