for our upcoming assessment, i'm using Run Lola Run, directed by Tom Twyker. its a german film and it has all three components of journeys - physical (definitely), inner and imaginative (director's and audience's).

umm...i'll be a nice friendly person and warn peopel not to use "Heart of Darkness" we studied it in yr11...and my god was it boring! And its hard to deconstruct!
some ideas though are;
LOTR - but the books are better than the films
The odssey - peotry-Homer; very good if your looking for soemthing sophisticated...which all advanced kids should be doing
O brother Where Art Thou - movie-very funny has a good soundtrack
HuckleBerry Finn - book - good all round...miles different from what i remember from my childhood though
The Postman - ehh...its a long movie..but it did the job

There also 1000 pages, although I prefer the books it is much quicker to use the movies.
