Nothing like achievable or close to achievable goals. For instance, start of Year 11 my goal was 95+. Only need to get the HSC marks for that and my course I set goal at start of Year 12 to come top 3 for all my subs which I pretty much did. (Maths rank includes all extension kids so i was happy w00t)

In year 11 my ultimate aim was 96. the deputy principal at my school said my atar should be mid 90s but I'm aiming for 93 or higher. Haha Id rather my goals be achievable rather than getting all disappointed.

IPT - 85-90 Biology - About 85 SoR1 - 40/50 Music 1 Aural - Hoping for 25+/30 (I need like 29.9999/30) English Advance - Hoping for 80+/100 General Math - In need of about 75+/100. I also get 5 points for being in Western Sydney and about 3-5 other ATAR points for doing sport/music stuff over the past 6 years at my school. I only need an ATAR of like 70. :/ And I did pretty average in my internal marks only getting good ranks/marks in IPT and Biology, everything else = kill me.
