thank you tammer for the poll ... but as it seems there is a lack of response ... at the time i write this post there are 2 response ...

and from mclake's request this was one of the reasons why i didnt bother with a poll because there are just so many public schools out there ... and of course my own inability to create a poll ... and my own laziness ...

...still feelin disillusioned ...

Guys, don't include the selective high schools because many don't consider them public because they don't let any old person in their school and have private values. So more along the lines of Killara High, Cherrybrook etc not James Ruse.

one of the top NON SELECTIVE schools in my opinion is St. Mary's Senior High School (my school) with 142 mentions in the Honour Roll!!! also with three allrounders, first in Society and Culture and tope course achievers in English extension, mathematics extension!

but Cheltenham? Girls High is by far THE best!

ur talking about fort street here? Umm there arent that many good teachers, its a dying breed.

fort street is relaxed the only problem is that there is not much interaction encouraged between grades, like my grade (03) doesnt really like the grade below us (04), but then again no one does :p

James ruse is by far the best public school, but the best non-selective one is cheltanham but it might as well be selective with their big selection process

What if we are going by the British definition of a "public school" (non state-school)? Then none of the options would be valid.

And for the record, that it why the GPS (Great Public Schools) is comprised entirely (bar Sydney Boys) of private schools.
