UNSW > USYD for law. my uncle was a partner at a major law firm in Australia and he said that he preferred graduates from UNSW and Univeristy of Wollongong (dont know why wollongong) over USYD

So it's basically his personal preference and in no way a reflection of the recruitment practices of the law firm in general?

Between UNSW and USyd, there isn't much difference in terms of employment options for graduates. Some law firms I know marginally prefer UNSW, some USyd. Ultimately, in cases like this, it comes down to the individual student-> your marks, leadership qualities, potential etc. Having said this, I don't know of ANY legal firm that would prefer UoW over USyd so that's obviously BS
