I go to a co-ed school and I think its good to have a mixture of guys and girls, but I know people who got to all Girls schools, and they have heaps of friends who are guys. Going to a single sex school does not necessarily mean that you will be attracted to the same sex. :)

I stand by everything I said. Im fuckin sick of hearing that single-sex schools breed homosexuality.
And, you are in Melbourne, doing whatever Melbourne ppl do. Leave us NSW ppl to our HSC forum. You have no place here. I suggest if you are going to stick around to stop making trouble.

Co-ed vs Same sex

I went to a private girls school in the eastern suburbs

and i pretty much failed my hsc and wasted 20 thousand dollars doing so

im at tafe now and its a coed environment and its amazing how many ppl r working their buts off... espeically the boys.. so they can do well in the hsc

so there ya go

Ah, I also go to an all boys school as do many of my friends and we don't know of a single person who is gay. However, due to the freedom and openess of public schools where there are more radical groups in terms of Goths, Lesbians, Wogs, Hardcores etc etc, there are more gays in the coed public system.

Going to an all boys school doesn't promote 'gayness', and doesn't always make it more acceptable to be gay. Sure, at Melbourne Boys (Thats where you go isnt it melbournian?) it may be, but it has more to do with the maturity, upbringing and open-mindedness of the school's population. If you were at a Catholic boys school, you wouldn't be accepted, or a School thats full of immature morons. It has more to do with the type of students rather than whether or not it's co-ed/single sex. I know of a fair few gays/bi's/lesbians, a few are openly gay, others keep it to themselves (others just reckon it's 'cool to be bi'....pfft) throughout the public/private/co-ed/single-sex system.

I go to an all girls school... Its ok, and I guess in a way I actually prefer it... But then again, maybe if it was co-ed, we could wear trackies in winter... mmm... trackies :)

Do you have any female friends and/or family members I could meet?

I can prove it.
(Do you watch seinfeld? the episode where george and jerry are assumed gay, with the reporter)

"we're not gay! ...not that there's anything wrong with that"
--> not at all

"i'll prove it to you, let's have sex, do you want to have sex?"
something like that, george was a laugh at that moment.

btw, I'm not gay ...not that there's anything wrong with that! :p :p
