Hi there,

I'm thinking of changing schools for year 11 and 12, my current school is ranked around 200s. I was wondering if you guys have opinions on what are some good selective school options, I'm located in the Sutherland shire.
My report from half yearlies was alright, stuffed up tbh
Religion - B
English - B
Geography - B
Timber - B (not doing next year)
PDHPE - A
PASS - B
Science - B
Maths - A (I do this accelerated course, where we do prelims at the end of year 10, kinda worried about this)

School Basketball team, NSWCCC team, class captain, BRC (Boys representative council)

I wanted to try for Sydney Boys high since my brother went there, but I don't think so any more with such crap half yearlies. Any other good options around sutherland shire or city etc..

if you get the top band (which is like top 20% of the people taking the exam) for all the section, apparently you automatically get in regardless of you school marks XD

Ruse may be a little difficult unless you ace the test. I go to baulko, and those who got into Ruse have to get straight A's, with maybe one or two B's. But that was year nine, so I'm not sure.

Sydney Boys is good too!

Send in your application and they will shortlist people. If you get shortlisted you get a letter saying you need to complete a Maths + English test as well as an interview with the Principal/Deputy.

My advice is though that you try to get into a school like Sydney Boys/Fort.

I heard Sydney Technically High School is a good school, it's a full selective all boys school. It's at Bexley.
