If you live in my area I can assess you to figure out where you are at. You don't want to drop to General unless you absolutely need to. It is hard to figure out on bos what your actual situation is to properly advise,

It was only one test so don't drop down just yet. Wait for the half yearlies and then decide.

Check the Uni sites to find out whether you need Maths before dropping down.

Define bad. Did you literally fail or didn't do as well as you would have hoped to do?

There's still ages to go so plenty of time to work things right. Use this as motivation to do well next time.

but to the OP, you need to know what your mistakes are. Also you need to specifically know how to apply formulas and such in maths. Practice is the key, but practicing things by doing a question and getting it right in the first go is what you should do

to piss you guys off, I just came back from uni like 30minutes ago, having a bit of entertainment right now before I start other shit

Do you really like maths? I imagine 2 unit would take a significant amount of time to study for in comparison for general. Anyway,
I did 2unit at the begining of year 11 and got like 20% and ranked 98/116.
Dropped to general now getting 96% and 1/278

Don't worry,
I think this is a wake up call for you to do some work.
Just reflect where you may have gone wrong, and ways to avoid doing those things again.
Don't drop down though, especially this early in the course.
You maybe put off since you started with an awkward beginning but soon it'll smoothen out once you've sorted out your priorities and get your study habits straighten out.

you better motivate yourself to do extremely well in your next test. give it your all or nothing, your call. you can definetely change this mark around and get a great atar.

Just read cambridge 2unit/3unit. Read all of it except the study notes section.

Is Cambridge the best for maths? I've used a chapter of it to study for maths 2u and found it pretty good. Much better than MIF.

Yes it is for 3 unit and 2 unit. Either that or Fitzpatrick is good.
