Just checking if I'm far behind everyone else, since we started the whole subject an entire term behind.

The topics we've done so far are:
1-Graphs
2- Complex Numbers
3- Integration
4 - Polynomials

Starting conics next week, and we've got mechanics, volumes and Adv. 3 Unit left.

So how far back do you think we are, and where are you guys up to?

My original thread was at: http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=301858

Finished completely: Complex Numbers, Polynomials, Conics. Half-completed: Graphs and Integration.
I think maybe if we didn't have to finish 2-unit then I would be on task.

I don't know how you did 4 topics in one term. You should be fine if you did those topics all in one term.

Oh, sorry! Didn't know there was already a similar thread!

Cool, so we're not far behind. Is conics a long topic?

Haha yeah there are only two people in my class doing it, and the other person isn't doing the HSC this year. So I guess that speeds things up?

I really wish my school let me start it earlier though. I'd prefer finishing a lot earlier than my school trials so I can get some revision in.

No worries. The thread is old. I just put it there so you know how much progress you have made compared t others.

Conics took us 5 weeks to do it. Fairly simple topic if you aced the locus and parabola work of ext1.
By only having 2 people in your class, you have to be careful, because I'm guessing your teacher shows you how to do it, then asks you to bring any questions you don't get to them.

Yeah you should have started earlier for sure. You could have taken more time with it that way. Private school I am guessing? I go to public.
To be honest I asked my teacher if we could start this time last year, but they just gave me the textbook and told me to do as much as possible (which turned out to be 5 exercises )

Good luck with everything!!!

This is actually...exactly what happens. Why would this be bad?

Haha my school hadn't ever offered it at all, but they let me when they saw my marks and thought I was capable or something. So I'm lucky I could even do it :thrust:

Good luck to you too, and thanks for the reply!
