*there are asian students (and all other nationalities) in every uni. uni is full of very bright students.

*peak hour traffic is bad everywhere, not just around UNSW

1) too many stairs
2) too many lines (for the most ridiculous things....ie: 9am starts and standing in line at central for the bus)
3) stupid myUNSW is super slow (which basically screwed up my timetable cause it crashes every 5mins)

1) lol the stairs, you only consume about several hundred joules of energy. not much

2) damn queues. patience < length of queue

3) thats why we find excel an extremely powerful office productivity tool.

U = mgh Assume h = 50metres
Mass = 85kg
g= 9.8 m/s^2
Total Energy Expended = 50*85*9.8 = 41650 J


However

If we assume the stairs rise 250Metres (Taking the stairs beginning from the electrical engineering building)

And if we also assume that the average human being is taking this trekk. so m = 100kg

Now as the distance from the earth increases our value of 'g' decreases, so lets assume g=9.79

so U = 250*100*9.79

Total energy Expended = 244750 J

So by walking up the stairs your expending about:

ONE QUARTER OF A MILLION JOULES OF ENERGY.
