Ok I found my International Business textbook and its definition:

Multinational Enterprise (MNE): A firm that owns business operations in more than one country

Transnational Corporation (TNC): A firm that tries to simultaneously realise gains from experience curve economies, location economies and global learning, while remaining locally responsive

examples of MNE's could include Shell, Sony, Starbucks

Thanks Minai....But I'm not so sure about Sony as being a MNE's, because they have offices in Japan, Malysia, and around the world...and usually, Multinational corporation is not as powerful and influential, but it doesn't seem to hold true for Sony.
