I've been getting snowed by assessments and I was wondering, when is the optimal time to study for the trials? Ie. How many weeks prior to?
I am planning to resume studying for trials once assessments are over (most of them that is)

I have no option but to cram I guess. :/ So it's good to start now.

If I study from when my last assessment ends, I will have 6 weeks of consolidation.

And if you want 99.80, you might as well start now.

Because if you don't - I guaran-damn-tee some kid in Baulkham Hills or Ruse or someother very good school are going to be gunning for it. And if you're not going for it too, you're just falling behind.

High ATAR's are difficult to get for most of us though.

You just have to motivate yourself, unfortunately.

Apparently, 6 weeks before any exam (e.g half yearly, trials, HSC) is ideal, so as such getting into the rhythm of studying.

:(

So much work to get through.

I would be trial prepping right now but english really throws everything off balance..

Start early, take the pressure off later.

I've started studying for everything except music 2 and English...
Essays just put me off sooo much, I always procrastinate when studying for music and English

This is me all over lol .. I can't stand studying essays >.< Starting to do past trial papers, summarising my summary notes further and just doing any practice questions I find :) Actually doing my homework helps too :p

You should be almost fully prepared for your trials through the study you did throughout the year. When you start 'studying for the trials' 5-6 weeks in advance, it should be ultra-fine revision to tune everything to perfect order.

That's the ideal way to do it, anyhow!

Progressive study is always better but, start as early as possible maybe mix in a bit whilst doing assignments to study, say 30 minutes everyday, just to get a pace going for it
