$1 tax for poverty? that will do nothing, you cant just give them food, cos in 1yrs time, theyll need some more?

you need to do more important things, like rally for the removal of agriculture subsidies so they can buy themselves out of poverty, otherwise its justa abig cycle

I agree, I never said that we should only give food. Obviously the aim is to help people become self-reliant, by implementing such measures as you've outlined. But still- You can't really deny that emergency food, medical, and shelter aid is urgently needed to save lives immediately.

I absolutely agree about helping poor nations stand on their own feet, just not at the cost of the current generation.
