and then don't. What the hell is this? Do all males do this, regardless of whether they're in a relationship or not? If you're not going to call, don't say you will. That's called lying and in case you missed the lesson, that's a bad thing.

*grumbles* Stupid boyfriend.

1) TV - Perhaps Stargate or Sliders on TV one. Stargate is hot.
2) Any number of other things.
3) If you nag someone to call you and they don't want to - they won't and later on they'll make up a BS excuse to get out of it (it's easier than saying no to some people).

I agree to an extent. But that's only because most guys are idiots and don't deserve the girls they get.

But apart from that, i think you're being extraordinarily silly. If he says he's going to call and he doesn't, it's not called lying. It's called he was caught up in something else more important than a random phone chat with you. Give him a bloody break. Guys aren't robots that can continuously store shit (except porn and sports) in their memory and respond automatically and on time every time.

Women don't appreciate it when we treat them like robots. Don't treat guys like one. If you promised us sex but then came home saying you were too tired because you were out all day, can we say you lied? Same thing.

Talking is to you what sex is to us. (actually i'm not speaking for myself here, just pandering to stereotypes)

Anyhow, don't read too much into it. If he conitinously does it, kick himm in the balls and let him know you exist. If it's once or twice, just go read some cosmo instead of getting all worked up.

the odds are, he is no longer interested in you and found something better and is to scared to say anything. but i could be wrong, in which case, just call him.

And you deduced that from what substantial evidence? 1 forgotten phone call? Oh shit. That's like a shakespearian tragedy!

HE FORGOT TO CALL ME !!! HE DOESN'T LOVE ME ANYMORE!!! AND I CAN'T CALL HIM BECAUSE......YEAH! FUCK!

yeah......its not like that hard! and stop being old fashion, guys dont always have to call girls.
It's the principal of the matter. Don't say you'll call if you have no intention of doing so.

How do you know he has no intention of doing so though?

Don't assume. Girls assume too much when it comes to emotions and feelings. Guys assume too much when it comes to the raunchy stuff. Or rather, their penises assume too much.

It's nearly 2am. I think it's fair to assume that he has no intention of calling when he's either asleep or too drunk to dial.

thats just the way things run, when a guy is into a girl, he wont forget to call his woman. that simple, time isnt a problem either, how hard is it to spare 5 minutes? as i said earlier, the odds are, the male in question is no longer into this loz person. read that again, i never said it was 100% certain.

of course there may be circumstances out of his control that may disable him from calling loz or something really bad has happened that has preoccupied his mind for the time being, in which i have suggested she call him to find out what is going on.

and it's spelt shakespearean.

is that such a big deal? who calls who?

why are you not the one calling him? for all you know, he probably has major stomach butterflies when he reaches for the phone.

if you really want to talk to him, then call him. you'll only find out whether or not he's interested when you hear his reaction to your call. you can't just assume all guys are brave enough to call a girl. some are extraordinarily shy.

my boyfriend is 2 years older than me, and i was the first one to call him. during the first week or so he never called me once. but he was happy when i called, which i did twice a day.

just call that guy already. i'm sick of using that word (call).

You have the analytical skills of Inspector Clouseau.

Here's the path to enlightenment i shall point you to:

Ignorant Kid -> comes into thread and posts something stupid -> reads the posts in front and gains understanding and self growth by realising that one missed phone call does not equal him not giving a shit about you or him shating on you -> goes out of the thread slightly less ignorant.
