If I catch public transport then it's about the same for me (maybe a bit more).
From what I know of things such as college and even just living at the apartments at uni, you will probably not make up that studying time and + it's a lot more expensive (if you're worried about that)
In terms of transport costs, you should consider buying a concession mymulti which is $23-30 a week (depending where you live)
