lol at 'independent experts'

Im sure you researched extensively their qualifications to perform the supremely intellectual task that his graph construction

Yeah, you didnt just read "independent experts" and stop your own independent thought, you really researched
The graph is not new information. It's a reminder of the stances of each party today, and the direction they've moved over time. 20 or 30 years ago, Labour would be where the Greens are, and Liberal where Labour are.

There has been a right-ward shift in Australian politics over time, and not just economically.

dude the graph is terrible. sides the political compass in itself is such a bad way to measure political views you can't be all the way up the scale and the way to right it just doesn't work

just like how you can't be all the way to the bottom and all the way left again it doesn't work just as Peikoff said

i mean fuck how can you have a fully authoritarian state that control everything but still have a totally free market

if that's where the liberals actually were we would be in a totalitarian state now as Howard would of sized control and became leader for life.
Yes true, although it does show the ideological viewpoints of the parties relative to each other.

Roughly here.

Inaccurate though because I am more like 9, -9
yeah lol i was expecting like 8, -8 or 9, -9

some of the libertarian/authoritarian determining questions are a tad ambiguous

The end result is a summation of all your answers. As such it is impossible to determine your exact individual stance on such appropriate issues, a general political compass can only explain so much (you are GENERALLY for a mixed market economy, and usually for individual liberty and freedom)

I think it means you are generally more conservative and believe in 'individualism' rather than collectivism

Yeah, I was thinking along those lines. Thanks for the clarification.
