My favorite place is out in the back garden on sunny weekends with minimal wind and the birds chirping every now and then...

I can never study in libraries. People are so goddamn noisy even in the reference section. And people next to me looking over my shoulder to see what I'm doing irks me a bit too. And not to mention the constant stream of stupid kids that wander around aimlessly, disturbing the peace and quiet I need. Oh, and people who read newspapers who flip the pages really loudly.
I just hate studying in the library.

Starbucks has awesome couches, at with warmth and are usually open pretty late. Other small cafes are awesome. If its later at night then its usually pretty quiet.

You could invest in a pair of ear plugs and just try working at home. I know I constantly get distracted but when I really really really need to study I find then I can just do it- even at home.

or go to Max Brenner in Parra. they close heaps late too... lol... hmm although the smell of chocolate and the talk around you will be quite distracting..... Max Brenner could always be your reward after every study session tho... :D

I <3 Max Brenner.

I sometimes go to Kuringai (Gordon) library, but i never get anything done when people come and go 'hey, i remember you, lalala'. or when bumping intoday someone 'hey let's study together!' then talking non-stop for ages and catching up.

Then there's home, which is the worst place. Everything propells my procrastination, and i'm a genius at that. Fridge, internet/msn, phone calls can go way to long, television, siblings nagging to play another gamne of connect4, and 'small' chores, etc.

So i went on my hunt to find the perfect place, after a disatrous weekend with my PIP, and i found it! A sunlit room, with a large dining table, birds chirping, nice view of the turramurra bushlands, at my grandparents place! It's just perfect! so quiet and peaceful. and the food is delicious, but i don't snack, and yeah it's just perfect. Soi'm glad I've finally found 'the' place. It's comforting.

So maybe you can find a place at your cousins, grandparents, aunt, uncles, or close friends. I think a home, other than your own, is the best.

Hey yeah, lol Gordon library is like the socialising place for HSC'ers! Last time I popped in to study just for my Year 11 exams and the few people there were like, 'Hi' and 'wassup' and 'how's your weekend?' and all that, and this was in the middle of the day where most people would've been at school  At least Chatswood upstairs is big enough to 'dissipate' the sound.
