In phys/higher phys 1A all you use from hsc physics like some of the formulas from the space topic (energy, keplers, kinematics) and thats about it
If you did 4u maths, mechanics will help you out in the first topic (this is where some of the formulas from the space topic come in)
If you did chem, stuff about moles/ideal gas law will help you out in the thermal physics topic
and for the third topic of waves stuff from 3u/4u SHM and circular motion will come handy
no, the only assumed knowledge you need for phys1121/phys1131 is HSC physics and 3U maths. l didn't do 4U maths and highly doubt it'd help. the topic of waves is basically just revision of stuff you learnt in HSC physics, you will find that this is the easiest out of the 3 topics. if you've done chemistry you will find the thermal physics topic fairly straightforward.Hello
Will these concepts about 3u/4u be taught from scratch? Or are they assumed knowledge. The pre-req on the UTS website simply state 3u and phys, should I know 4u concepts?
