Erhm... B and D equate to what? 'Good' and 'satisfactory'? Want to elaborate?

go back to standard coz ranks r really important...i had half the 4Unit maths class this year getting 70 uais because they were doing really bad in it. they didnt realise that incompetency in even the most hard and "scaled" subject would stuff them up

Well which one do you think you will go better in the HSC, noting that it is exceptionally hard to demonstrate a band 6 in Standard English, since an 79 in Standard is equal to a 79 in Advanced etc.

a 79 in standard does not equal to a 79 in advanced ...if u were asking who would go better presuming they both got 79...then obviously advanced student as the advanced student would then be scaled up as well

On the page in BoS where it tells you the scaled marks for each subject it says standard and advanced english are scaled the same way

Good students are likely to have their achievement lifted by the level of conceptualisation required in the Advanced course and the level of discussion that occurs in Advanced classrooms.

There is more value in studying a higher-level course than the advantage a student might gain in UAI terms.
