I would do legal or sac probably.
I wouldn't do chem or business.

You have a combination of hard and easy subjects which is good.
Just do the subjects you have a passion for.

Chemistry is quite hard. Depends on your ability, teache etc.
I just don't find business or chem interesting.
I think legal and sac would be more interesting and economics more useful.
Do what you think you will enjoy.
You can change if you hate it if you are quick.

legal studies is alright.. alot of research involved.. u have to be up to date with cases and legislation changes etc.

Why not do Advanced English?
I'm going to do Legal Studies, Economics, Advanced English and Chemistry.

I can't really say if they're hard or easy (I'm only in Yr. 10 atm) but I'm guessing that economics and chemistry will be fun. Do them with me :)

If I had to choose one, it would be Economics.
Society and Culture sounds interesting.
Meh. It's up to you; whatever floats your boat.

have a look at the sam calculator re saling issues.
But tbh I'm sick of people worrying about scaling. Scaling exists for a reason. If a subject is harder it will be scaled better but you are more likely to do badly in it. You are more likely to do well in an easier subject but i doesn't have as good scaling.
It all works out. So don't even consider scaling imo.

don't know about geography. I hated it in year 10 but now I think i would have liked it.

yea quite a lot of writing in legal but it's hell interesting.
sac is easy and it scales well imo.

cafs is a bit of a joke, v easy

the HSC geo exam requires you to bring in a "small packet of coloured pencils"

instant fail

I do both legal studies and society and culture.
I recommend you do both because society and culture is so easy and its is just simply relating what you do in class to your life or someone elses and dont let others scare you of the personal interest project (PIP). its a cool project
legal is just cool and theres a hell a lot of writing in legal

the problem is that i can only do one of these subjects because i have already chosen my 10 units.
from legal, society and culture and geo.
what would u rate these subjects out of 10, depending on how much work there is and how interesting they are.

Economics for scaling.
Legal Studies if you like watching paint dry.
Society and culture if you want to do a PIP.
Community and family studies for the lulz.

please explain

In my opinion, I would go for economics or legal studies, depending on what you like more.

Re: which one? economics, legal studies, society n culture or community n family studie

i dont know all the teachers say that we should have a balance of easy and hard subjects. till now my easy ones are: standard English, 2 unit math
hard ones: chemistry, biology, business studies.
so i was thinking to take one more easy subject but apparently in ppls opinions legal studies is a hard, stressfull subject. so all my teachers are like do geo because its easy.
but i really want to do legal though.
HELP!!!!

is any one doing 3 unit math here.
is it a lot harder than 2 unit.
and is there a lot of self study required to pass the course.

I'm doing 4u math, and 3u maths is a very simple topic - its just memorising formulae and consistent revision. if you think you arent going to atleast do an hour of math a day then i recommend you to stick to 2u math, missing a topic for 3u is hard to catch up on, its a personal choice really.
you will enjoy 2u maths if you generally like maths.
3u maths is not harder - its just more topics to learn and a bit more on what you learn in 2u.. does that make sense? like theres a topic in 2u applications to the physical world - thats not too bad but in 3u its a killer; you may need to sit down for an hour just to do the one problem. the topics vary ofcourse..
I recommend you look at what other subjects you've chosen and consult a teacher on your recent marks. If your in yr 10 - i recommend you to do 3u maths, you have nothing to loose, you can always drop down to 2u.

hope ive helped!
