I've noticed a correlation between students who recieve 99+ and students who do Extension 1-2 Math / Physics

For those who did neither of the two, What subjects did you do?

You must be godly

Yeah, I reckon it should be "who got 99+ without ext 1/2 maths, physics, chemistry or english extension 1/2" THEN that's really pushing it. haha.

I actually tallied every single person here on the BoS who shared their ATAR and HSC Subjects (except those who posted their ATAR and had dubious subjects like "Extension" and "English" and "RE" or whatnot)

Names I can't give you, but of the 20 who got 99 ATAR or higher, these are the subjects they did - by order of frequency:

17 - Advanced English & Mathematics Extension 1
15 - Mathematics Extension 2
14 - Chemistry & Physics
5 - English Extension 1, English Extension 2 & Modern History

And then other subjects after that...

I got 99.6 with 4 unit english (so somewhat elite, but not to the same degree), modern and ancient history, general maths and SOR 1 unit. I went to a non-selective school ranked outside the top 200 and got no tutoring.

Does that help at all?

Also, my friend from the same school got 99.5 with advanced english, mathematics, economics, accounting, business, legal and SOR I so that's another notch against the maths domination!

Quit your waiting!

Oh possessionless, you seem to be following me around always taunting me with your oh-so-blunt wit and degrading of me and my opinions. You just seem to be very disgruntled because I proved to you that in the higher ATAR's, the higher scaling subjects featured prominently.

90.50 is the exact minimum I want, as it's the ATAR cut-off of the course I want into. It'll probably be revised, but yeah... I'm thinking I'll get 93-94.
