As far as covers go, I really like GnR's Sympathy for the Devil.

mmm yes I do enjoy some of their covers.

Sabbra Cadabbra, for example.

Well yeah if you think about it like that.

But it's not as though the breakup was sudden or anything but inevitable. Consider it a swan song.

And I'm listening to that now, mr ntb. It's fair awesome.

I agree.. Jose's cover of 'Heartbeats' was great
Also Jeff Buckley's 'Hallelujah'
Aaaaand who could even go past the RHCP's version of 'Higher Ground'
or Muse's cover of Radiohead's 'Creep'
I agree with every one of those.

Plus this one:

Nah but not just because of that, its actually a really bad cover generally, but that is partly because slash and axl didnt want anything to do with each other by this time.

Meh, band dysfunction is less apparent on a cover. I still like it.

Apart from what's been said in this thread already, I liked the guns n roses cover of rose tattoo - nice boys.

Van Halen did a good job on You Really Got Me too i reckon.
Megadeth's cover of Paranoid.
Motley Crue's cover of helter skelter.

I'll probably be skinned alive for this but i should say that i adore most of the other songs by the original artist

Ryan Adams cover of Oasis' wonderwall.

Also tainted love was 'covered' better by rihanna. SOS was heavily influenced by it :shy:

I didn't mind motley crue's helter skelter. I don't enjoy their Anarchy in the UK, though.

Nirvana has done some good covers, like The man who sold the world and Where did you sleep last night.

RHCP's cover of Higher Ground maybe?

The Screaming Jets' cover of Shivers?

I dunno.
