Anyone really hoping to get a late round offer tonight?

Im hoping to see if my flexible entry application for B Arts and Sciences got accepted.

late round offers always go up--its been the trend for the past couple of yrs

i think this yr wont be an exception.. although i wish it could be =(

is there ever a chance that u will have the right uai for the course but then u didnt get into the course .. for some strange reason( like no more vacanies)

or is it that late rounds u'll definitley get ur course when u have the right uai for it??

The UAI cut-off is based on the last person who made it into the course. If the last person who got into the course has an UAI of 80, then the UAI cut-off for that particular course will be 80.
That's why the UAI cut-off will not be released until mid of January (Main Round ends) & late February (Late/Final Round ends).
So the case that you are talking about will never happen

I'm incredibly stressed.
Really really need to get into economics and social sciences at usyd.
My uai is 92.75 and the main round cutoff was 91.1, however usyd states it was 90.70
Now it all depends on how many free places become available.
I also need my friend to get into commerce/arts. For two reasons:
1) Because he got the uai but stuffed up his preferences. And itd be awesome for him to do the course he wants to do
2) He's applying for that course as an early pref, and if he doesnt get in hes in direct competition then me (with a much higher uai)

If you got 92.xx, why couldnt u get into the course with a main round cut off of 91.xx?
