It isn't as though they have been the only media outlets supporting the idea that she may well be innocent, it's just that they managed to line the message with a 'pro-Australia' flavour that appears to have been popular with many (from what I can gather given that I don't watch ACA or read the Telegraph).

Well, ALL lawyers have to say that they believe the defendant 100%, otherwise, they lack integrity in court; with some exceptions, I suppose. For example, like when the crime was seen by several witnesses, etc, in which case, the lawyers' purpose would be to reduce the severity of the sentence; however, lawyers whose purpose is to proof one's innocence must say they believe the defendant without question.

However, I'm not a Law student, so I'm no expert. Just my 2 cents.

i think that many people care about the corby case because it is widely publicised and basically shoved in our faces for weeks/months on end.
personally i care becuase i think she is innocent although many of the arguement on these forums have made me uncertain of what i think.
