Probably the thing I care most is the Opening Ceremony as I'm not a winter sports person, neither is Australia (Sorry, skiiers and ice skaters)
Opening Ceremony was great backed by engineering technology and artistic talents.

Well the replay of the Ceremony will be tonight at 8.30 on Seven.
Plan on watching that one. Didn't even know there was an earlier screening?

I can't wait to see how Janica Kostelić goes. SHe is so amazing and a real hero to a lot of people in Croatia. I am going to Europe in two days and get to go see one of her events.

She did very very well last time:

Salt Lake City, 2002.: 1. mjesto (slalom), 1. mjesto (veleslalom), 1. mjesto (kombinacija), 2. mjesto (superveleslalom)

Janica is the best Olympic Alpine skiier in history and currently leading the World Cup standings. There's no way I would bet against her winning all 5 skiing events even with her hand injury.

The Men's Downhill will be awesome. The Austrians Strobl, Walchofer and the "Herminator" Maier will probably get a challenge from American Darron Rahlves. I fucken hate him.

The luge has started and I recommend you guys watch it. Armin Zoeggler is unbeatable.

I watched a bit of the ice skating display. The sky blue team were good. I didn't get to see the others except a bit of the Russian team before them and I thought they sucked and the sky blue team should've gotten more points. Ah well.

Numero Uno....Winter sports are awesome. It's just that they don't get any coverage down here.

MEN'S DOWNHILL.....WOW!!! Deneriaz just edged out Walchofer for the Gold. Bode Miller, Maier and Strobl all the way down in 5th, 6th and 8th respectively......This is a huge surprise by the way. Oh, and Aussie Boy Craig Branch - down in 32nd spot.

SURPRISES, SURPRISES, SURPRISES....

In the Men's Ski Jumping (Normal Hill):

1st - Lars Bystoel (Norway)
2nd - Matti Hautemaki (Finland)
3rd - Roar Ljoekelsoey (Norway)

Favourites Janne Ahonen and current world cup leader Jakub Janda where nowhere near the podium (6th and 13th).

This Winter Games is already turning out heaps of surprises and I'm loving it.

Except for in the Luge....Zoeggeler won it.

Has anyone else been following the Ice Hockey?

The yanks were lucky to graba draw against latvia but Slovakia winning 5-4 against Russia nice stuff!

Esp. by Gaborik who grabbed the double and their keeper Peter Budaj was awesome! I still pick them as my dark horse to win it.

I love watching the ice-skating, but I've got a strange habit of redesigning the choreography to what I've seen or any songs i hear for a few days after ;P
