if you have 3 minute rests between sets, you must be at the gym for ages....... just with legs, its 72 mins worth of resting!
usually there for 2-3hrs depending on time between exercises, but its a set routine by the footy club so i have not much choice in it, im happy though, i like the program alot, best ive been on

basically deadlift is just picking up the weight and putting it down again. bent over rows are, look in google for pics or movie of how to do it.... ummm shoulder shrugs also, that will get your traps big.

Very over-simplified I feel.

You forgot to mention the most important part of keeping your back straight the whole time - when you start to lift big, heavy weights like you should be - if you sacrifice form on the deadlift, you could end up seriously hurting your back.

Start off light to get form down without hurting yourself, but as you up the weight never cheat on the deadlift to get another rep out, as soon as your form starts to slip - stop.

Superset

lateral pulldown x 3 sets x 10 reps
seated row x 3 sets x 10 reps
flys x 3 sets x 10 reps
reverse pulldowns x 3 sets x 10 reps

Dips x 3 sets x 10 reps
pushups x 3 sets x 10 reps

Burnout set (dumbell curls) do this as fast as you can

lateral pulldown x 3 sets x 10 reps
seated row x 3 sets x 10 reps
flys x 3 sets x 10 reps

Ab sets (everything is x 15)

Leg extension

I was reading in one of the sunday papers magazine liftouts today about chronobiology.
It stated that the best time for exercise was around 8 pm as the body is all warmed up etc.

Apparently the best time to have sex was 10pm at night (as we're most sensitive to touch at that time) and for best results... going to sleep at dusk and rising at dawn.

It seems the old adage by that american fellow (franklin?) was right -

"Early to bed and Early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise"

I stretch for around an hour....and then do around 200 crunches up....
after that a 10min stretch session.....and then 30min of running....
after that i stretch my legs again....and do cable weights for around 30 odd mins...stretch a tiny bit more and then go home...

at night i do another 50 crunches, free weights...and that's about it....

But i heard that you could overwork your body...

anyone with even the smallest amount of hand-eye coordination will agree that golf is not a boring sport to play

I have to admit that I don't mind watching it on TV nowadays as well :(

Totally and absolutely agree with both of you ^.^

Watching golf on tv is actually quite exciting...especially those moment where you witness the thing live instead on a cruddy replay....Tiger's lost some of his fire now...although must admit, he is good...

Anyway enough about turning this into a golf thread...
Yeah, to me stretching is extremely important, if you don't stretch fully before exercise, you feel like crap...

Hey... im reasonably fit.. but i must be doing my situp crunches wrong.. it hurts my lower back..... but then again.. i havent done an ab crunch in about 4 months :S

WHat should i do?
I want to be fit and toned without losing too much HSC time, apparently people who exercise regularly are able to concentrate better...
