works suite and microsoft office (1 Viewer)

hey guys and girls

i am looking at buying a laptop but it comes only with windows xp..2 years ago when i bought my desktop i bought microsoft office xp pro and works suite 2003 legally (i.e. with licenses etc) anyway i was wandering when i buy my laptop can i just load my programs onto the laptop or will i need to buy the programs again to have another license

you will need to uninstall the software on any of the computers which are using that license, and then you will be able to install the software onto your laptop.

if not, then you will need to buy another license for that computer.

this isn't the case for all types of software though.
just read your Terms and Conditions if you really want to be safe.

Aren't you allowed to install on the desktop and laptop as long as it is only you using it?

dunno, I guess it depends if the product activation succeeds.

just check ur license b4 u do.
different types allow differnt uses.

JM - I'm not too sure. MS love to take in money. I installed Office Pro onto a computer, then it died. so formatted, brought it back up and all, and Microsoft said i was putting the same copy on 2 diff comps (cos i didn't use the same computer name)

so MS is a bit dodgy....
