73... so close... :( At least I'm taking comfort from the fact that i beat the average by nearly 10 marks in a non-asian subject.

no, for all subjects the cutoff is 75, but Gil has his own system, where you fail at 65, pass at 75, distinction at 85, and HD at 100.

Reactivating thread:

What was the exams structure last year? Will it be the same this year?

And what the fuck should we actually study for it?????

If you look at the above post, you will notice it was posted in June 2008, and there was a different lecturer.

As for studying tips, if its back to Gil Merom again, you're screwed unless you study everything. Multiple Choice sucks. Its best to go over your readings again and again, know your definitions and your theories. Stupid Merom.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Yes, 2009 s1 has Merom again... unfortunately, although honestly I don't really mind him as a lecturer. Haha

He said that only 1 question per reading will be tested and 2 questions per lecture. He also said that only the main concepts will be tested and that the questions won't be picky.

After reading all the posts in this thread, it seems like the exam will be picky after all! =( Gil gave us like a few sample questions from the 2005 final exam, and they were indeed immensely difficult!
Would you have any notes to share around? It'd be very much appreciated if you could share them!

Thanks!!
