Heh yeah I wish I had kept my year 7 books at least. Earliest ones I have now are year 10, threw out the rest at the end of each year.Aerath said:Well, I like keeping all my books and stuff as a memento of my schooling years.
Ahahha that's what I do as well. I own my Physics Dot Point textbook. Writing in pen just ruins it.siddharthlaha said:Dot point books were made so taht you could write in them and make a summary of the stuff you need to know. I personally write in pencil so when exams come round, i can rub them out and do the questions again.
I would say that's inaccurate. We all get textbooks in each subject except for English, where we just get the novels and texts.osamaelias said:Nearly 95%+ of Nsw schools do not give out their books , except for mathematics , and you still need to return it at the end of the year.
So what people do , is buy their own text books. Me being one of them
Yeah - some of my friends did that - to save money. Wise people.kaz1 said:i photocopied the entire dotpoint books for physics and chemistry
Yeah, but I'm in desperate need of a new bookshelf now.veloc1ty said:Heh yeah I wish I had kept my year 7 books at least. Earliest ones I have now are year 10, threw out the rest at the end of each year.
I believe that some of the questions (particularly the mathematics type) in the dotpoints for Physics are way too easy for a 'practice exam'. I've seen some of my school's half yearly past papers - and some of the questions are way harder.sikhman said:i use the dotpoint book as a practice exam. i find that once i've done it i can never do it properly again because i remember all the questions and the textbook answers....which is kind of useless. so i write in them with a pacer.....don't know why i don't use a pen. i just started with a pacer and now its habit...
95%? Exaggerated? Source?osamaelias said:Nearly 95%+ of Nsw schools do not give out their books , except for mathematics , and you still need to return it at the end of the year.
