for wsu med interviews, what is the usual ucat cutoff they look for if you are greater western syd applicant. my ucat %ile was 83 but my vr was 710 so i was wondering if i would still have a chance of getting an interview?

iirc

Formula is: VR + 0.2*DM + 0.2*QR + 0.3*AR

GWS:
- 2900 (93rd%ile) with 640 VR rejected at first
- 2740 (83rd%ile) with 720 VR given interview invite

also the only vid i could find talking about this was from 3 years ago:

ofc it probably varies with the number of applicants, percentiles for this yr vs last yr and stuff but i think u have a chance of making it (hope u do)

Hi all,

I did my UCAT 2024 and my overall score is 2890 with a 728 WSU formula score. Just wondering what my chances for a WSU JPM interview are looking like as a GWS resident? I am a non-school leaver and I have finished a degree with Hons Class 1.

I've seen different information about cut-offs and formulas and was hoping someone had more insight.

Thanks :)

Congrats on finishing the UCAT this year! the most up to date wsu formula has been revealed to be 0.5x VR + 0.5x (DM+QR+AR)/3.

i believe the cut off last year was approximately a 740 weighted score for GWS according to mso, so it'd probably be difficult for you to get an interview invite with a 728 unfortunately.

keep your head up tho, you can resit ucat or apply for postgrad med upon completion of the GAMSAT, you got this bro
