makes the woosh noises
Ok so firefox has gone crazy and I don't know what to do to fix it. My sister was using the net and said that it did an automatic update. Fine, whatever. But then it just suddenly stopped working for reasons I can't work out. You get an error message saying that this "xul.dll" thing is "not a valid windows image". So, I deleted the offending item only to be told it was needed. So I put it back. So you need it but windows thinks it's shit therefore=no firefox and back to shitty old IE.
Whut.
Oh and I should mention that some links also now do not work, it'll come up saying that Windows can't find '(null)' and tells you to search for files.
Also a search reveals there are 2 files with this name (xul.dll). One appeared today which must be the firefox one. The other has been there since June 07 and has something to do with Second Life which I never even thought we had on here but whatever.
Virus scan reveals nothing.
Idk, am I fucked or am I missing something obvious that would miracle-cure the problem?
