Aha did you mean my love for sciences is like your love for social sciences?? I actually liked the legal aspect of commerce but I couldn't afford to take legal because my school only allows 12 units :(

I might shoot you a couple of questions as soon as you start your course, haha. I don't know how many times I've said 'this year' in the last week, just shows that I can't accept that it's 2014 right now.

I didn't choose any social sciences, though I did commerce in year 9/10 and hated it 0.0

It feels like that at the end of year 12 as well. You better cherish your highschool life before it's over. And the friends. What good times.

I guess no one is doing a language :'(
Sadly not. Unfortunately my school doesn't offer any beginners courses only continuers and as I was really stupid in year eight I didn't choose a language elective. Biggest regret so far in terms of schooling.

I considered taking Japanese Continuers, but my amazing teacher is now retired and I didn't want to do distance ed. I'm a bit sad I'm not doing a language anymore, but I wasn't feeling as passionate about Japanese over the last year anyway. A few of my friends are still taking it though, I wish them all the best :)

lol i think dell is a computer brand? well, the government made it so that no one can install any programs onto the laptop but there is actually a way around it xD hi five i hate internet explorer too
eh there is? But so firefox is impossible? q.q

People who are doing EE1 and MX1, what do you prefer? What career would you like to go into?
I don't have a career path i want to go into lol xD I'm only doing EE1 because it's compulsory and MX1 because we have to do 14 units in my school xD That and also, I could always drop MX1 if I take it in the prelim course but if you don't take it and suddently realise you have a passion for maths, you can't take Ext1 in year 12 if you don't in yr 11 C: So it gives me more options :D

Frankly, I really admire those people who have somehting they want to do at uni :)

Oh I definitely prefer English, and I'm better at it as well but I'm hoping to undertake a career in Medicine. One day I hope to be a surgeon specialising in cardiology.

One of my friends considered doing open high for jap but scrapped the idea because apparently language is a subject that does require a teacher present with you in the classroom? I know I did interactive classroom for chinese classes at my school in year 9 + 10. We basically had a teacher communicate with us on a telly and a teacher who sort of knew chinese, teach us in the classroom. It failed epically because of a lack of communication with main teacher and students. As in, we couldn't get in contact with the main teacher unless it was in class time and the subordinate teacher although was really nice, couldn't really answer any questions since she wasn't a chinese teacher.

I think trying to learn a language without a teacher present would be really hard. My school has hired a new Japanese teacher, but my old one was seriously one of the best teachers I've ever had. I'm still sad she's left :( I'm not certain how it works, but I think when they do distance ed they'll be in contact with another teacher just like how you said, and the new teacher at school will help them out here and there. However, we're lucky to have a Japanese exchange student with us till July. I'm sure he'll be a big help to them, he was always very strict making sure we didn't get anything wrong haha

I was thinking of swapping physics for business studies since it would get me an easier band 6 from what ive heard. Although my physics tutors just so breath-takingly beautiful, im copping it and take the hard road for that band 6 haha its going to be a looong 2 years. Subjects are in my sig but thinking of dropping english ext 1 and maybe advance because english sucks.

i was actually considering to do japanese continuers but then i don't really like the teacher (and i don't think she really likes me as well :p especially because i was overall really lazy during junior school). still i might think about taking it if i end up hating chemistry next year because i wasn't too bad at japanese considering the amount of effort i put in, plus it's an interesting language!

Yeah it is c: Although in my case, we did have a teacher present. Just not very often haha. Besides, it's also hard, because the supervising teacher may not want to make any big decisions e.g in my class, half the time, most of the class didn't get the notification for a test, and we were informed maybe 3-5 days before the test that there was a test, meaning that half of us wanted extentions etc but the supervising teacher couldn't make the decision - she had to contact the main teacher who wasn't really contactable etc. so meh.
It's nice that you have an exchange student in your school :) Wow, your school let's them teach though? Students from my old, old school used to just pester them to make origamis for us haha xD But then again we were like 8? back then lol :p

Thank you soo much ! you're so nice :))
No worries :) Like I said, I admire anyone who knows what they want to do after high school :D I think it's great you have something you want to do, lik eyou know your passions and everything :) Especially for med since that requires dedication and committment (who's not on speaking terms with me)

lol xD Give it a chance at least until term 3 ;) Besides, EEXT1 might be useful in that if you stuff up your advance english, you still have a backup? Since 2 units of english is compulsory.
I'm not sure whether it's aligning or scaling, but physics does one (or both) better than business studies. On the other hand, the content is much higher, therefore you don't need that many marks to get to band 6 as opposed to business studies. It's not really easier or harder to get a band 6, the same effort is probably required to get a B6 in each subject unless you find you absorb content easier in one.
